Pantry Peek ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a collaborative grocery and pantry management app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Pantry Peek you agree to the practices described here.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, an optional display name, and a password. Passwords are handled and stored by our authentication provider (Google Firebase Authentication) and are never visible to us.
Pantry and household content. We store the data you add to the App so it can sync across your devices and household, including:
Free, on-device data. If you use the App without a subscription, your pantry is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you later create or join a household.
Subscription information. If you purchase a subscription, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Our subscription provider (RevenueCat) records your subscription status linked to an app-specific user identifier. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Technical information. To provide and secure the service, our infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical data such as IP address, device and operating-system type, and app interaction logs.

With your household. Pantry Peek is collaborative by design. When you create or join a household, the pantry items, lists, categories, photos, and activity log in that household — along with your display name and the changes you make — are visible to the other members of that household.
With service providers. We share information with trusted providers who operate the service on our behalf:

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the App.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
You can delete individual items, lists, and photos at any time within the App. To delete your account and associated personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will process your request. Note that content you contributed to a shared household may remain visible to that household, and historical activity-log entries are designed to be immutable.
We rely on industry-standard safeguards provided by Google Firebase, including encryption in transit, and we use database security rules to restrict access to a household's data to its members. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Pantry Peek is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
